A UK based travel company that organised thousands of pilgrims across the world has plunged into liquidation after 22 years.

Yourtravelshop.com ltd, based in Ilford, has planned Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarat journeys for over 35 years according to the company’s website.

It has operated as yourtravelshop.com Ltd since 2004, as per Companies House.

The company was voluntarily wound up with liquidators appointed on July 21. At the meeting, Donald Harper and Andrew Maak of The Insolvency Practice Limited were declared joint liquidators.

Before all trips were called off the sacred journeys to Islam ranged in price from £1,200 to £1,875. No more trips are displayed on the firm’s website but it is not clear if any already planned have been cancelled.

Under Companies House the business is registered as organising travel agency activities. The last publicly available financial documents are dated October 19, 2025.

The news comes after several other travel agencies have also plunged into liquidation this year.

In June Strachan Travel Ltd entered voluntary liquidation after 40 years in business.

The Lancashire based company recorded winding-up resolutions on June 11 and officially appointed liquidators on June 16.

Another travel company, Groupia Ltd and its subsidiaries (including StagWeb and GoHen) also entered administration on June 16 as all new bookings were halted.
