Red carpet debut for Perry and Trudeau
The couple have been dating for just over a year after first sparking romance rumors when they were spotted having dinner together in Montreal in July 2025. About half a year into their romance, the couple took the next step and made their relationship Instagram official in December 2025. Earlier this summer, Perry and Trudeau made their red carpet debut at the 25th Annual Tribeca Festival and attended the premiere of the concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris. The pop music sensation mentioned her relationship at the event, telling People: ‘I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life.
Perry reflects on love and family
‘I am very in love. And actually, that show was after I met the love of my life and so I felt very anchored by that because I’m a little bit like a rainbow kite.’ Perry was previously in a long-term relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares five-year-old daughter Daisy, for nine years before they called it quits in mid-2025. Bloom also shares 15-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Perry and Bloom – who amicably vacationed with Daisy and Flynn last summer – started dating in 2016, got engaged in 2019 but never tied the knot.
Parenting takes priority after separation
Amid news of the breakup last year, representatives for Perry and Bloom told the Daily Mail they had ‘been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.’ ‘They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect,’ said the insiders. She was briefly married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012. Trudeau was previously married to Sophie Gregoire for 18 years before they announced their separation in August 2023. The politician and the retired television host share three children: Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 17, and Hadrien, 12.
