An influencer who has been arrested at an airport for allegedly making controversial content that violated public decency has claimed the footage was manipulated by AI.
Soukaina Janah, also known as Soukaina Glamour to her one million followers, was arrested last Wednesday (12 August) as she was greeted by police officers at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport, in Nouaceur, Morocco.
The content creator is now subject of an investigation surrounding allegations of her creating content that violated public decency.
Soukaina was believed to be catching a plane out of the country, which was reportedly for reasons unrelated to the allegations.

The footage, which circulated on social media, was reportedly detected by the police’s digital monitoring services. Local publications state that the footage was deemed offensive to public decency.
The public prosecutor then ordered a judicial investigation to identify the origin of the footage and the circumstances surrounding their circulation.
However, before she was arrested, Soukaina already addressed the content and claimed that the footage had been manipulated by AI

During the message to her followers, she also reportedly announced her intention to take legal action and accused people of fabricating the misleading content.
She is now subject to a police investigation with the authenticity of the videos being the centre of the case.
The influencer is now reportedly being questioned further under the supervision of the Public Prosecution Service.
