Manchester United suffered late heartbreak as Michael Carrick’s side conceded a last-gasp equaliser against Everton on Sunday.
However, Michael Carrick’s side must swiftly turn their focus to a Champions League clash with Sabah FK on Thursday, where they will be desperate to start their European journey with a win.
It’s a big night for some players looking to play themselves into form, most notably Patrick Dorgu, who Gary Neville highlighted for his part in the late leveller at Everton. Here, the Daily Star Sport delivers the latest from Old Trafford, including a transfer swoop for a Liverpool wonderkid.

Rashford’s Barcelona message
Rashford, who began his second straight league match on Sunday, posted on Instagram following Everton’s draw with United, addressing his 22.3 million followers. “So unlucky not to come away with all the points today! The results will come. Big week coming up starting with Thursday’s game,” he penned.
Interestingly, among the comments were two from his former Barcelona team-mates Roony Bardghji and Fermin Lopez. Bardghji remarked: “Man like Rashy” while Fermin simply posted a clapping hands and love-heart eyes emoji.
The pair clearly haven’t forgotten about the 28-year-old, who was rumoured for a permanent switch back to Camp Nou following his loan spell, and their affectionate responses suggest they would have welcomed his return.
However, the striker has chosen to stay put and attempt to revive his United career under Carrick.
Gary Neville criticises mistake

Dorgu, who came on for Rashford against Everton, has been called out by former United defender Neville, who feels his misguided pressing was a key factor in the late goal being conceded.
On his The Gary Neville Podcast, the Sky Sports analyst dissected the closing moments of the match that led to Maitland-Niles netting the equaliser. He stated: “That last goal is a really bad one. Dorgu, for some reason, chases out and presses – isolated press. Andrey Santos then doesn’t go cover behind him and stays back.
“It just gets played past Dorgu. It’s a massive mistake that. It’s a massive mistake from Dorgu but he might have been told to go press by Santos. But it just strikes me as a lack of communication.”

United have moved to sign one of Liverpool’s brightest young stars in an audacious coup against their fiercest rivals.
Carrick’s side are reportedly on the verge of completing a shock deal to snap up teenage talent Isaac Konde. The 16-year-old is said have finalised the necessary paperwork ahead of a controversial switch to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are thought to have managed to secure Konde’s signature after he made six appearances for Liverpool this season in the Under-18s Premier League, registering one assist.
Konde typically plays down the left flank in attacking areas, though he’s just as capable operating on the right wing. He’s a graduate of Liverpool’s youth system, but will now make the switch to their greatest rivals.
